The BIG debate on Britain’s Future in Europe

Objective:

The British referendum on membership of the European Union, due to take place 23rd June 2016, will be an event of great significance for Britain and the rest of Europe, as well as for the wider world.

A host of British and German organisations: German British Forum, German Embassy, the German British Chamber of Industry & Commerce (GBCIC), British Chamber of Commerce in Germany and Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) decided to team up on the 3rd of March to debate the key issues during a one-day conference, Britain’s Future in Europe. They turned to Technical Publicity as a trusted partner to handle the public relations around the event.

Speakers included leading figures from business, politics and economics, including Dr Wolfgang Schäuble, Germany’s Minister of Finance; Jurgen Maier, CEO of Siemens UK; John Kornblum, former US Ambassador to Germany; Matthew Elliott, Chief Executive of Business for Britain; Gerard Lyons, Economic Adviser to the Mayor of London; and Ian Robertson, member of the managing board, BMW. The event was sponsored by Bosch, DZ Bank, Helaba, Nabarro and Siemens with support from OMFIF, the GBCIC and manufacturers’ organisation EEF.
