Honeywell Safety Products offers the broadest portfolio of safety solutions and leads the global market. To help raise awareness and understanding of its position in EMEA, Honeywell turned to Technical Publicity.
A key trade event for Honeywell is A+A - the world's largest and most important trade fair for all aspects of safety and security which takes place in Germany and is host to 63,000 specialist visitors from 69 countries. Technical Publicity proposed and set about planning a PR strategy for the exhibition to boost the company's media relations with key trade publications and to introduce new products.
A press conference was organised to give journalists an overall update on Honeywell as well as exclusive market and product information. Additional 1-1 press meetings were also arranged to give journalists a chance to engage with senior members of the Honeywell team.
The press programme Technical Publicity put in place was extremely successful with a total of 19 journalists representing 22 publications attending the press conference and 15 additional 1-1 meetings organised.
Feedback from the journalists highlighted a great appreciation for the type of information provided and the way it was presented, particularly given the access to senior members of the Honeywell team. The follow-up media opportunities, which were created following the PR activities at A+A, provided a strong platform for Honeywell to build its PR and media program for the following year.
